In case you really don't like all those factory stickers you can easily remove them with a hair dryer. Just heat the decal up a little and they will usually peel off in one piece. You can remove the any leftover residue with rubbing alcohol or goo gone.

Heat gun is what I used, but be sure to only use the lowest setting and go back and forth over it. You can easily burn the gelcoat!
That looks sharp btw!

Wow Jim. That does look a lot cleaner. This might be the year that I strip those off too.

I can't of course claim I was the first to try this. But will admit I sure like the looks of it. I have to believe that Yamaha must have gotten nailed a few times with some laws suits or something with all the warnings that were on this boat. Thanks for the compliments!!

I used a single-edged razor blade on the difficult ones (only a couple needed that) and to "start" the edge "up" on the rest. Once you get a grip, the stickers come off (ie, pull off) pretty easily.
I then used VERY SPARINGLY lacquer thinner (a dangerous product if you are not extremely careful as it will dissolve most everything) on a soft cotton t-shirt rag.
Finished off with a dab of car/boat polish.
Results ? Sooooooooooo Worth it. Boat now looks like something to be really proud of, instead of an advertisement for the EPA ......... LOL !
Hey ! Y'al have a great day ! Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA

Thanks for the tip! I am going to have to add that to my list of things to do this spring.

Will they peel off in the snow ?? lol j/k
Yes. It all depends on the temperature.
Below 18 degrees, they do not quite "peel" ........ Ya gotta give 'em a little tug or two.
But you CAN do it. It's just a mattter of getting outta yer eaz-y chair and puttin' your mind to it. That's all. <LOL !>
Best Wishes, Mikey Lulejian - On a windy, no-fishin' day @ 55 degrees on Lake Oconee, GA

I removed all of my stickers and graphics before I even left the dealers lot. They came off by hand.
