I am close to closing the deal on a leftover 2016 242 Limited S E-series. Galvanized trailer, bow and cockpit snap covers, and extended warranty for $60000 plus taxes and registration. Good deal?

Also, is there anyone in the DC area who has a newer 2016 24' that would be willing to take my wife, daughters and I out for a spin one weekend day? It would save me an extra trip out to the dealer if someone was willing. I want to make sure the girls are OK with the boat/sound level before I drop that kind of cash.

Thanks,

John

A "deal" is often in the eyes of the beholder....you have to decide whether the toy is worth the cash. What you are buying is fun with your family...and a helluva nice boat IMHO.

Spending money on creating memories for your family is priceless!! My best memories was growing up going to the lake, my kids also say that is their fondest memory of spending time at the lake as a family. So get the best deal that you feel comfortable with and get out and make memories!!!

I just got this email from river valley today but maybe the same price as I'm unsure if that includes dealer prep but I found these guys pretty easy to negotiate with in the past. I know they are pretty far from you though. For those with unopened email phobias look away now or you will be traumatized.

OK first of all...... Thirty six thousand five hundred and ninety three unread emails!? I have finally found someone worse than my wife! ;) Haha j/k, but seriously, thanks for the info. I will reach out to them today, even if they are far away it might be worth having it shipped for a price at or similar to this. I am getting the written quote from my other dealer today so it will just have to see what makes the most sense.

EDIT: Is this the dealership in Minnesota? If so, I have actually already reached out to them and they quoted me $59999 which was my negotiating starting point with the other dealers closer to me.

Update: Just put the deposit down on a non-CARB 2016 242 Limited S E-series in Black! Looking at picking up on the 18th, can't wait.

Booyah!
Enjoy that boat!

Congrats! Let's see some photos!

Love the Black and Red 2016 E series! Sexiest boat on water (in my eyes). I'll own one one day if I can snag a lightly used one for the right price! Until then I'll enjoy it's little brother my 2015 Black and Red SX210 which we have thoroughly enjoyed this summer. Enjoy it my friend and hope it brings you lots of good memories!

Congrats! Let's see some photos!

I unfortunately won't have photos until I go and pick it up on the 18th. The dealer might send some over this weekend. If he does, I will be sure to post them here.

It's a great boat! You'll love it. Congratulations!!

Picked up my red and black 242 Limited S E about a month ago. You'll love it. You were concerned about whether your girls would like it? I have a 4yo and a 1yo. They absolutely love it. The 4yo is constantly asking to go out and tube. Enjoy making those memories brother. You'll never get this time back. Take advantage.

Drove three hours each way on Saturday to pick up the new boat and got it out with the family and our next door neighbors on Sunday. Needless to say, we had a great time. I was especially concerned about how my oldest daughter would like it since she is sensitive to loud noise but after we got it up to full speed thats all she wanted to do! I couldn't wipe the smile off of her face. Here are a couple pics:

EDIT: Does anyone know why these image links won't work in the forum?

@fraserjr images not showing for me but make sure your closing tag is [/IMG]. Or you can just manually attach them if you don't want them embedded in your post.

I tried to attach them as a google photos URL but that didn't seem to work. I will just upload them instead.

Wow what a beauty! Congratulations! I would love to get into that same boat if I could find a decent deal. The only thing I can't stand about my current boat is the absurdly loud engine noise. So is the new boat quieter than an I/O Fraser??
