JBP called it pre-sale pricing I call it early adopter pricing. Take it for what it’s worth. I have one of the more heavily modified AR195’s on this forum and number of various products. I offer honest feedback to anyone that asks and did the same to Will and hope he can resolve the issue.

Didn’t know that pre sale pricing meant paying an early adopter fee for a product that was essentially in beta. My apologies.

I’m taking my 2019 AR195 out on Merwin tomorrow with the TVW. I’m interested to see how it fares compared to others as I haven’t seen a review of the 2019 other than Will’s. I’m hopeful it’s ok, but the wife will be the ultimate authority on if we rip it off or not.

If that was the case why are people posting feedback in a public forum- Why wouldn’t this feedback go directly back to JBP privately? Instead people are starting new threads to hash out the same thing over and over (yeah heavy steering we know).

Seems to me the early adopters had no idea they were doing field validation, but we’re just wanting a discount.

Clearly this product was rushed out - from a validation perspective. This can be ok if the solution is derived quickly and the fix is relatively easy- which I hope for JBP is the case.

All this playing out on a public forum puts a big spotlight on JBP (he does seems to handle the pressure well)..

To answer your question, because that’s the nature of the bulk of the population who are on this forum. To review various products and provide insight for others that are interested in the same or similar products.

Please consider that many of the "people who didnt buy the product" actually know a thing or two about jet boating and have spent countelss hours trying to build a better wave behind our Yammies.
Many have had reservations about the product all along.

Are you going to show us your results with the new TVWs? That's what people here come to see.

Let’s be real, they have a strong brand in the jet boat space and I’d find it hard to believe they would risk damage to what has taken a lot of effort to build. Plus it’s just a headache dealing with service issues to begin with. I’ll make my final judgement based on JBPs response to the reviews and concerns then I will this singular product release. I believe grace is warranted here. Let’s see if all is made whole.

I see this forum as a rare non-commercial enclave that evolved organically into a place where people interested in boating using jet propulsion can come and share advice, ideas.

I admire JBP and his operation, he is a huge positive force in the small but growing field of family/sport jetboating.
I also spent more $$ in his shop than with any other vendor here, several sets of SeaDek which is the best in business, jumped on group buys of PerfectPass, and gadgets etc. His customer service is next to none.
I also happen to think the TVWs may have some pretty substantial flaws.

I think many members here are very comfortable talking about it, and in general having no bullshit discussion of ideas, projects, and products. I don't care who makes those products as long as features and not misrepresented. Personally, flaming does not bother me much, misinformation does. YMMV.

If this forum turns into a vendor site, or worse - something like Boattests.com, what's the use?
