I like the camera. If you could view the camera on a Garmin chart plotter that would be awesome! (And record too!)
It's connected to a Garmin Drivesmart65. My tow rig has Navigation, but this gives me backup should the need arise.

I installed the Jetboat pilot side thrusters and upgraded my Chartplotter to a Garmin Ecomap 94v. Sorry, I was so busy I didn't take pictures.
I ended up going with CobraJet Super Magnum Fins and the Jetboat Pilot Side Thrusters, love this set up. I have the best of both worlds now.

Shoutout to @HangOutdoors for the chartplotter set up idea, I used your cupholder delete and love the location. I find I never really look at the rpm gauges and I can tell by listening if they are out of sync. Used the chartplotter this weekend for a longer trip and I love that I can see this in direct sunlight and the Garmin 94 is big enough to see all the detail.

Finally installed the dreaded Keelguard today.
Also installed a 12v power point on the swim platform. Finished putting my portable battery charger setup together. No more mods until Spring!

Just got around to putting on my 60"C.E. Smith trailer guide posts. I think I wanna add some covers on them too. I ended up painting the the trailer brackets black to match as well as adding heat shrink tubing over the bolts to protect the trailer. Hopefully this will give us a good visual when pulling out of the water. It drives me nuts when I come up out of the water with the boat all crooked.B614A3FD-383C-4DCA-B4DC-8C9BD8A44D66.jpeg0D9D11BD-E979-4F01-B3A4-7408611E083B.jpegB3332B5B-4FF6-41EA-B825-8CA11B80D957.jpeg

Not exactly the boat, not exactly the tow vehicle but I’ll post it here.
Installed new sealed LED STT lights on the trailer. Been having issues with a rusted socket on one side so I searched online for something different and found this kit that had the enclosed steel boxes, oval & round LED lights and grommets for about $45.

Started a few days ago by spraying the boxes with 3M undercoating to help them hold up to the water.F7880943-83B4-4C81-8DE5-EAC5ECF9D98E.jpeg Drilled a drain hole in the box to let water out & also drilled mounting holes in the back of the box. Then removed the old lights and getting rid of the snap-loc wiring connectors and used heat shrink butt connectors. Tapped the frame for a good ground on each side and got to installing. Connected all of the wires, tested to make sure all was functioning properly and then put grommets & lights in the boxes. Overall an easy 45 minute project after the undercoating had dried & cured.

Been noticing the white part of the lower hull has been rough to the touch & discoloring. I haven’t cleaned it all season so I figured I’d just clean it tonight with a mixture of roughly 2/3 water, 1/3 muriatic acid and some car wash soap in a pail. Broomed it on in 6’ sections, let it work, broomed around some more & let it work, no hard scrubbing needed. Kept going until it’s clean. Some areas took longer than others but I did the whole thing in about 30min.

1/3 muriatic acid seems kinda strong. No problems with the Gelcoat? I assume you SHOULD NOT get that on the trailer
I use Hasa Liquid Muriatic Hydrochloric Acid is a 31.45% Hydrochloric Acid for the Swimming Pool and that stuff will eat through concrete.

No issues with it that strong, the gel coat is back to nice & smooth. Trailer is painted so it doesn’t affect it. Been using this for years on this boat & a pontoon with no issues. The pontoon was wet slipped and had THICK limescale that took a few applications but always got it cleaned up.

Looks awesome! Did you have to take the Captain's Chairs off to install?
Thanks! Not the captains chair; it's split into 2 pieces around the post. But the passenger chair is one piece with a hole. I searched the thread on here how to remove. It was tight; probably never removed. But basically turned it 45 degrees port side to wall, then two of us pulled/ wiggled it off.

Went up to the boat yesterday. Started with the fun stuff. The boss has a new Cricut, so I had her made me a little something for the boat:

Then, got to the dirty work. The soundproofing mat is not working very well. In the Texas heat, the adhesive (which is a tar-like stuff) is letting loose and running all over. Making quite a mess. I found that Goof Off and the 3M Adhesive Remover work to get the stuff off. I need to do repairs on the fuel vent system (a separate thread), so I started on the stuff in that hatch...

Not done yet, but much better after:

Installed new radio head unit & remote. Had to make a plate out of 1/4” plastic and it looks a bit different in the dash but lots easier to use & hopefully lasts longer than the last one. Also going to be nice having the remote on the swimdeck that actually works.

Just saw this, for some reason this thread wasn't showing up in my notifications. Did you print that plate out? I'm looking at swapping out the OEM head unit, and Yamaha made the decision to do a shelf and have the head unit inset, so I'm almost forced to replace it with another OEM unit, since it seems the size constraints won't allow me to swap in either of the other 2 head units I'm considering (seems to measure a bit too tall). A plate like that, set on an angle, would give me plenty of space. The shelf is worthless for holding a phone, so losing that, but gaining the ability to swap in whatever I want for a head unit, would be priceless
