Table Rock Lake, June 10-14 2015

I know the lake from Kimberling City/ the rope swings all the way down to Arkansas pretty well. I can definitely show you around that area. I hope to explore aunts Creek Shell Knob and James River arm. I also plan on burning a lot of fuel that weekend
I plan on burning a lot of fuel but not going to fast. ;)

It would be great to meet up with you @Bruce as well!!!

Great, I'm glad everyone is covered. Now if we could just get summer here faster...

So my daughter wants to know how many kids will be there. We'll have my daughter 10 and my son 15.

My son will be there , he will be 11 by then

We are pretty close to committing. Will have our by that time 8 year daughter and 5 year old son.

I'm still a kid at heart, does that count??

I hope you guys can make it; it would be great to meet you, and our daughters could collaborate on the Bimini essay. @Jim Robeson, yes that counts. I'd hate to be the only childish "adult" there, and my wife could use someone else to roll her eyes at.

I will have my 2 daughters there, 7 and 10.

Saw those for the first time when went Florida. Looked hard but very fun!!

Hi Guys

1. How is the water temperature at the end of April and early May?
2. Is anything open yet on the water?
3. Would you be able to swim or just ride around in the boat?
Looking for some local help and what to expect, I know a lot of it depends on if it is a warm or cols spring.

Hello @dan144k ... a lot of it will be based on what kind of weather we have at that time. Most generally it will be cold and difficult to swim...but if that's what you like then go for it. Usually takes until late May to mid June for Table Rock to be nice to swim in. I usually jump in Memorial Day because my nephew will challenge me to do so. But it doesn't take me long to get out. As far as things open, most all the marinas will be open but I wouldn't look for lakeside restaurants to open until Memorial weekend. The lake is very beautiful at this time as everything is budding out and there isn't a lot of boat traffic other than bass boats. All of this is subject to what you like of course. If you like swimming and boating in cooler weather then by all means go for it. I hope this helps a little.
