I was changing the oil filter on my 2013 SX192. I found the Amsoil EaOM103 was too small. Does anybody have any cross references to other filters or should I just use the OEM one?
sorry I don't know which engine you have, your manual should specify the OEM filter # and you should be able to go to an auto parts website to cross reference it for other selections.
That info should be in your owners manual, which is also available on Yamaha's website if you register with them. PLEASE do @mattmila (use the @ function) hit me up if you get the data so I can add it to the FAQ!!!
The Yamaha oil filter for the 2013 SX192 is made by Denso. Its part number is 69J-13440-0300 (00). It costs around $21-$25. I have contacted several auto stores and they do not have other filters to match it. Maybe somebody will have better luck. I will keep on trying.
In 2012 there was a cross-reference for the 1.8L oil filter to WIX which Amsoil matched to EA15K51-ea. I used the filter then, but I haven't been able to find the cross-reference since, and I'm back to using the Yamaha filter.
On the 1800 engines I use Motorcraft F L 910 s always have but remember on any oil filter the crimp line is prone to rust and leak some put grease on it but I use aluminum tape to protect the entire case from rust . I started doing this years ago when I saw one in a ski rupture from rust along the crimp .
