Have you moved the boat back at all on the trailer, or is this the "stock" tongue weight?

That’s stock. Loaded with full tanks of gas. No ballast or gas in ballast ! Anchor, 3 pool noodles, an empty toilet, and misc lines and bumpers. The tongue weight was stock. With my weighsafe hitch my tongue weight is right on just below 500# which is what the scale said. IMO the trailer sits perfect, no need to move back.

Ok, so everything I’ve added.
Veve guide with ce Smith lights
Small box anchor.
Full seadek kits
Removed every warning sticker
And added 2 dock line and 2 side bumpers. A few life vests. Wtf. I read the 242x is 4300lbs plus 1k for trailer. So 400#, why everyone think it’s such a brick? 5700 is too much? What does everyone else’s 242x weigh? I’m amped now after setting sail with the capt!

Huh! My WeighSafe reads about 500lbs, too, AFTER the bow stop mod (push-back), lol. Not sure how useful/accurate those hitch built-in scales are... in the low range especially.
Do the bow stop mod, your towing comfort will increase!

Yeah, I can't contribute much on this one. My trailer weighs 8,100 pounds with a tongue weight of 1,400 pounds.

In a nutshell: moving the bow stop post back 3" is good, 5" is better, in my case I ended up somewhere in the 7-8" range. The ends of the bunks are recessed by 3-5" (after a 5mph stop).
Here is a longer version to read: https://jetboaters.net/threads/has-any-one-moved-the-post-on-the-shorlandr-trailer.13136/

I also changed the jack, but that does not impact the bow stop position.
Thanks to @Neutron for helping us all to tow better!

Swatski, that's an impressive jack. Who makes it and where did you get it?

@gmtech16450yz found it

After one short trailering trip - all I can say - this thing is simply amazing.

Does that jack with the highly offset wheels "hand roll" any easier than the factory jack?

I back my little 190 into the garage, and then do a couple "back and forths" by hand to scoot it over against the wall real tight to give the wife as much room as possible with her car in the garage. If it was easier to push by hand I would be all for upgrading that thing.

Yes. It's a night and day, easier to push the boat around, not even close.
Those double wheels are large and roll with real bearings, everything is greased and grease-able (w/a zerk!), etc etc.

If you ask me for any negatives, I couldn't really think of any. It is heavy. If the OEM is 15-20lbs (?) this one is 2-3 fold that at some 40-50lbs. That adds to tongue weight.
(just trying to be thorough)

It folds in such ingenious ways that I can fold it completely and extend it completely while mounted to the same side of the trailer tongue were the OEM was (which has a big bump/bulge for the OEM jack mount).
