These are currently $11,000 from the dealer and on 1 year backorder- no need to deal with it! We can fix your delamination quickly.

Is this just a delamination fix or are you repairing inoperable touch screens and faulty units?

Just for the heck of it I went to the MTC screens website, then the 4.3” screen, the webpage shows 30 in stock, but when I select year, make and model, I can enter 2020 and Yamaha but the drop down for the model only shows the 7” screen and not the 4.3” screen. Then a warning pops up and says it doesn’t fit my boat….

Great question!

You mail in the delaminated screen unit, we remove the delaminated, glass, lcd, backlight driver and touch screen assembly, and install a brand new one. Your old delaminated parts are scrapped out as they are no longer usable.

Some people have attempted a rebond- but it never lasts and always results in cosmetic defects.

Let me know if you would like any other photos or description of the process.

Hi! Whats your year make and model, and do you have the 7 or 4.3 screen? I will check it out for you.

So simply you are only repairing the touch screen, not any othet issue with the connext system. Because the real issue isn't the touch screen,(which some have failed)it's the fact that the connext has issues.
I want to make sure what service you are providing.
The fact that Yamaha is discontinuing these early like most electronics or grossly overpricing them is a problem so what the community needs is a company that can repair more than just a screen problem

Hi there-

Depending on the system, there are different common issues going on that the screen replacement service will sovle. Here is a quick write up on what I have seen on the yamaha units so far:

2015-2018 7 Inch Connext (touch screen with physical rubber buttons)
  • UV burn, discolored lens or LCD
  • LCD defects, stripes, lines
  • Cloudy or hazy plastic lens
  • Touch becomes unresponsive or frozen
2019-2024 4.3 Inch Connext
  • Touch responsive dead on one side
  • Touch response frozen in some areas
  • UV burn on LCD, spots or defects in display
2019-2024 7 Inch Connext (touch screen only, no physical buttons)
  • Delamination, bubbles in corners
  • Touch response frozen or unresponsive in areas

The repair service will solve all of those issues. If you are experiencing other problems, it may be an internal defect but to be honest, I have not come across that very often. I am here to help the community by solving problems so let me know what you are experiencing and I will do my best assist.

From what I can tell, Yamaha is having major supply chain issues on these parts so boat owners are facing crazy pricing ($11k) or even crazier backorders (1 yr+). My goal is to get people back on the water without spending a lot.

That's awesome news! I don't currently have any issues, but also don't plan to get rid of my boat anytime soon. I know with it being 5 years old that screen could go at any time.
