How much to flats boats and bay boats weigh? That doesn't look like it would hold much weight....
 
I've seen it hold a 243 center console Everglades boat.

Huh....just doesn't seem possible....guess it is more than just a straight spike? I didn't read much, but it says max 22' bay or flats boat ... I wonder how much wind it would hold them in?
 
So I ordered a fiberglass stick anchor from coll water products and was able to test it out today. It worked GREAT! No more secondary boat anchor or tying an additional rope to a the shore.
Wind was blowing off and on today and boat stayed in place. I had the traditional boat anchor in the front and the stick anchor holding the rear.
