I won a free Alpine PowerPack - was thinking of putting in on the factory speakers for now. Anyone tried something similar?

Don’t! LOL. You can get four DBs for like $100. So worth it if you are going through a hassle of putting an amp in anyway.

I plan on upgrading speakers eventually. This is probably going in either way because it's not worth my time to sell it lol.

Yeah....agree with Swatski! The stock speakers, brand name "Seaworthy", are just that....good for the bottom of the sea! If my wife comments and can tell the difference between them and the Polks without an outrageous eyeroll, then there is a notable difference! (normally I get a sigh and and eye roll on anything electronic!)

I hate being devils advocate but with the right wattage to those stocks and right tuning. They really scream. I just used my for 2 years and go all sorts of compliments. The problem with them is you need to tune down the bass and mid bass on them to get them really screaming. With nice subs, it could be a nice setup without spending the extra dough.
