Bilge pump alarm

Just watched this. A guy from the other site posted this. He did the install. Good write up.

I have a Rule bilge alarm installed and it combined with a fume alarm gives me great peace of mine. I must say that this alarm looks to be a lot simpler on the pickup end. The rule uses a traditional float switch approach (which is much bigger). Not sure if there are advantages or disadvantages to each....but this one is smaller for sure.

I like the simplicity of this alarm but think @Julian's float alarm would be easier to test. Are there any provisions for shutting that off? I would like a silence switch so you could, temporarily, disable the audible alarm during each event.

I would think it would be easy to add a cut off switch to shut it off.

Yes it would but it would be too easy leaving the switch in the off position defeating its purpose. I think a silence feature would be better as it would reset when the alarm was resolved. It's easier to think and tell others what you need without an alarm blaring.
