I have a Rule bilge alarm installed and it combined with a fume alarm gives me great peace of mine. I must say that this alarm looks to be a lot simpler on the pickup end. The rule uses a traditional float switch approach (which is much bigger). Not sure if there are advantages or disadvantages to each....but this one is smaller for sure.

I would think it would be easy to add a cut off switch to shut it off.

The Rule alarm doesn't have a silence feature....and fortunately it has only ever made a noise when I've tested it each spring (it has a lever arm you lift to test).

Yes it would but it would be too easy leaving the switch in the off position defeating its purpose. I think a silence feature would be better as it would reset when the alarm was resolved. It's easier to think and tell others what you need without an alarm blaring.
