Hi everyone,

I recently bought a 2016 242x E-series. LOVE IT!! I'm new to jet boating and can't say enough about this boat. We use it mostly for wakeboarding and surfing. Still figuring out how to make the best wake, but we're getting there.

The bluetooth was working great until a couple of weeks ago. Now, when I press Bluetooth on the Media panel, it switches for 1 second and goes back to regular radio. I've tried disconnecting the batteries, going back to factory defaults with no luck.

This forum helped me so much through the purchase of the boat and some minor things that have happened. Thank you all so much for being so informative. Really appreciate it. I'll try adding info when I can.

Thank you!

I recall someone having a similar issue and I think they reset the headunit to solve...you do this from the stern remote if I recall (as that is actually the main brain). @Mainah might recall or @Glen

I think the head unit has persistent memory. You can ill need to delete all bluetooth devices on the headunit and forget the headunit on your phone etc. If that does not work you may have a hardware issue.

Thanks for the tips. Will try those and let you know how it goes.

Quick update...I got it fixed. The issue ended up being that the Bluetooth was turned off in the unit in the stern. By turning it on, it worked again.

Thanks for your help.

Javier

Had the same problem, found out the rear unit controlled it.

Yes, this forum and the people are a great source of information!

Glad you got yours resolved also.
