Actually I found out recently that, at least on the 2017 and 2010 240s the engine hours are stored in the guages not the ecms like I previously thought.

Same issue when I replaced the Connext screen. I didn't have issues with lights not coming on, just no hours.

Looking for Boat Model number for 2018 210 FSH SPT, finally found a new Connext Screen to replace my failed system (delamination and water intrusion). Understand to get system in Diagnostics screen and then input "BoatModel" Number to access accurate UI for the specific boat. Any help would be appreciated. Those of you with 210 FSH SPT may be able to locate in your working screens

Where are you getting the replacement connext screen other than directly from Yamaha?

I've been waiting on replacing the screen in my 2017 because when I asked the dealer about it, he literally laughed at me. Said they could take my money but there was no guarantee when or if he would see one. Said he had customer's waiting on warranty screens for over a year now. I just checked partzilla and the others. They are showing in stock, but they are asking $9000!!!!!!!

If partzilla and others can get it why cant your dealer get it. Makes no sense to me.

even though it shows it in stock on Partzilla and some of the other websites, when you go to check out, the status changes to backordered. at least that was my experience when i was trying to find a replacement screen a couple of years ago.

Ok, My unit has failed. It won't fully boot up. It comes up to the Yamaha Screen and then shifts to Connext, the RPM gauges cycle to 4 then to 8 then to zero and then an arrow comes across the screen to form the X. it freezes at this point. 95% it's the screen itself. the Dealer says he doesn't have one and Yamaha doesn't have them either. The guy at Partzilla said if he had one it would be $7500. he recommended looking used in Florida or Texas. Anyone know of a salvage yard down there that might have a used one? I'm planning to bring the screen to the Local Yamaha dealer Tomorrow (closed today). Their service guy said he would plug it into a boat he has to verify it's bad. I thought that was very nice of him.

try this, may be easier to repair: Yamaha Connext 7 inch Touch Screen LCD Replacement Repair Service. I wish I would have kept my old one.

Ok, so an update for the group. after much trials, tribulations and $$$ I received a new 7" screen. according to the quality tag on the back this one was made in 2020. plugged it in and everything works. added bonus this one is a touchscreen. I don't think my old one (2015) was. only issue now is that the run hours read 9999. I hope to get it in the water in about a week put at least 1 hour on it and see what it says.

I plan to hold onto my old bad one. I spoke to the guy Johhnyboat recommended. He seems confident he can fix these but hasn't started yet as he is busy with other projects. Maybe in the future it will help someone.

Yes your old connext was a touch screen it was just dead.

Seems that I read where others replaced their connext screens the engine hours will update once the motors have been run as the engine hours are kept in each engines ECU.
