EZ Dock

I wasn't allowed to put in a lift. Putting in the EZ Dock was a stretch. My town has strict regulations.
Sunstream V-Lifts are a free floating air lift that are not attached to the dock in any way (except the ropes you would normally attach your boat with). They either run off shore power or batteries/solar, and use blowers to raise and lower the boat. So it isn't a typical lift that is attached.

Didn't mean to side track this thread with this discussion...but they are cool. Last I check...this is $8500....and much easier and gentler on a boat. Works with the same approach as an Airdock (like mine) but with rigid ballast tanks vs bladders.

Oh man I'm so jealous. I like that so much better but again I showed the bay constable that lift and he said it's too bulky. Again the town has very strict regulations so I couldn't get it, the ezdock is the same height as a floating dock so I guess that's why I was allowed to put that in. To get a town slip the wait is 22 years, my parents put me on the day I was born so when I got the call around my birthday I took it but I don't want to do anything to make them take it away! So ezdock it was lol. Now I'm the youngest one down there with the only "lift" or ezdock and my dad and brother have a slip too which people aren't happy about, 3 slips in 1 family.

I thought the ezdock had an option that would allow you to submerge the dock, drive over the submerged dock and then raise the dock under the boat similar to the V-dock. The whole deal slides up and down on pvc pipes driven "temporarily" into the bottom and is run on a 12v battery that inflates and deflates some type of bladder system. The 12v battery is maintained with a solar charger. The place I get my boat serviced sells them and has the full deal optioned out and set up in his show room complete with an outside shower, walk ways and the like. I thought it looked interesting.

I have the one that submerges. It only submerges the back half but it's nice. Works decent

I am looking at purchasing an EZ dock for my SX190. Prices seem to be crazy, I mean well over what they indicated to me in person at the NY boat show in January. Based on your experience, what would be the minimum configuration for me?

You'd want atleast a BP3001. I got a 5000 in case I buy a bigger boat down the line and I also wanted the extra size on the sides to walk around my boat. Where in NY are you?

I'm on Long Island also, planning to call Ron tomorrow. But a cursory price search on the internet scared the *** out of me.

Nice I am on LI too. I dealt with Ron as well.

So is there a way to winch up your boat to the EZ Dock once you get out? Basically, pull it up forward so it doesn't sag into the water?

I think they do make a winch for it. Not a bad idea at all! I don't have it but maybe I'll look into it

We recently became the northeast distributor for CANDOCK. and just finished installing two jetboat drive on ramps at our marina to rent out for the summer.
Here is their website for anyone interested:

Go to the gallery for boat photos. NICE STUFF!

Do you know how much a 12x25 candock system with airlift weighs for shipping purposes?

Best thing I ever bought. I was one of the first to get it, paid $7500 installed and delivered back in 2012. Survived Storm Sandy and haven't had a problem yet. I may be selling it depending if I move on to a tritoon this year. Gotta see if I can swing it money wise. I will post here first by March if i do sell it.
