do they make a flag holder that snaps into the back part where the table goes?

I have not seen one but I imagine you could easily enough turn your table leg into one. Drill a hole for a locking pin to secure your flag pole in there. I'm sure some will have some better ideas.

That is a good idea!

For some reason I find it hard to believe no one has started making and selling a flag holder that snaps into that spot. I can't be the only one that wants to put a big flag up.

Easy enough to make a pool noodle mod to make this work. Also adds flotation to your table leg in the event it falls overboard (although perhaps not enough for it to float?). Jam the pool noodle into the leg....then stuff a standard flag pole into the hole in the middle of the noodle...voila....flag pole holder! :-) You will likely need to trim the noodle down some....and will find that an older squishier noodle will be easier to work with.

I wonder if that area would get damaged from the stress a flag might put on it? Seems like it'd be a pretty easy thing to get a metal shop to fabricate.

If you plan on putting a big flag there I'd make sure the back of that place is reinforced with a backing plate. I'm not sure if the factory installs one or not since the 19' boats don't have them. I wouldn't want a monster sized flag flying in the air off that area as I don't think the fiberglass is very thick there but at a minimum I would use a backing plate to take some of the stress.

Do you think a flag is going to put that much stress on it? It's only a few lbs...

Well you said big flag so I figured a massive monster flailing up high in the air :D. How big are you talking? How much of pole....3', 6'....15'? Is it supposed to stay in place underway? These things would matter depending on the flag size and height. There's a few people on here who fly huge flags way up in the air so you may want to search around and see what they did or came up with. I can't remember their names but I've seen the pics on here.

Ah didn’t think about that. Probably a 3x5 flag and 5/6 foot pole. Would be cool to keep underway but not a big deal if it’s safer not to. Now I’m curious to some of ridiculous set ups people might have lll

i will put pictures of the pieces one by one with the explanation. just give me a couple of days, I’m in Florida and now we have the hurricane coming, and i have the time very short. Very easy to do, you will see. thank you.

Be safe out there!!!

Keep in mind that there is something known as "flag etiquette".

I made the mistake of buying an air-head flag holder. It was designed to hold a flag while diving or mooring. It didn't hold up to the wind at all. But, I found this holder by Big-Air Wake Towers and it's been great! It can accommodate large flags and long poles. Check them out. They're designed for towers though so may not work for some.

Samson towers makes one that is pretty solid. We have it on our tower and it's good quality, but pricey at $125. It's designed for use when a skier is down and you want to pop the flag up when going slowly.

Keep in mind that even a small flag when underway generates a huge amount of drag and will pull against it's mounting with a surprising amount of force.
