So i have posted more than a few post about stereos and audio on here. Other than Bimini its my fav topic. Just to catch people up who have never seen my madness. I am running a JL Audio set up front to back. Brakes down as:

6 JL MX 6.5'S 2 front, 2 mid and 2 rear
2 JL MX 7.7 on the swim deck
2 JL MX 10" Subs in a boxes under each side
2 JL 6 Channel amps pushing it all.

Sounds good, hell even sounds great. Clear, lots of clean bass. Sound carries all over the sand bar. That being said.....i like my boat to be really loud. So i got online and got some JL 7.7 tower speakers. And yes i have a 2016 SX240 Without a tower. So you ask "what are you going to do with tower speakers and no tower? The fine people over at JL have me covered with a pair of flush mounts for their pods (for the low low price of $249 just for the mounts not the speakers. I will be putting them in Friday morning on the back part of the boat. Hope this cures my need for sound cause i am about out if places to mount speakers. 20170426_201709.jpg 20170426_195724.jpg 20170426_201819.jpg

I'm right here:)

You have a solid system but I'd highly recommend wetsounds speakers and upgrading your subs to 12s if your goal is to run the Sandbar or Party Cove. Additionally, adding at least 3 batteries that are dedicated to your system only and match that with a high quality on board battery charging system so they can recharge overnight and be ready for the sand bar the next day.

I have heard some wetsound set ups and truth be told i really was not impressed yeah they're loud I still think the JLs are way more clear. I got the battery situation under control. As far as the subwoofers go I'm taking this thing to Bimini so I need to save a little bit of room.

So my JL 7.7's are in or should i say on the boat. First side was some trial and error but once we figured out the order of things the other side went very easy. I made some backing plates out of metal just ti keep it tight and right. shes a loud bitch. 20170428_111533.jpg 20170428_134132.jpg 20170428_121353.jpg 20170428_121415.jpg 20170428_134349.jpg

Looks very cool, curious about how you will cover your boat? I don't see cockpit cover buttons.

We talked about that as I was putting them in I have a friend down the street whose wife does sewing so we may just end up cutting holes and have her put an edge piece on it to go around the pods and get the JL covers for them

damn!

Very nice setup. Unique for no tower.
