I ordered the upgrade version this morning at a bit cheaper rate here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N76K48A/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AL09J9CKIG9A&psc=1 For a little more, this version from the same manufacturer promises that it will activate a provided 12vdc relay and turn on the blower for you.
These are available at WestMarine as well if you don't like Amazon, but it's way more expensive there. Also check the sensor after installation and periodically thereafter using just the butane gas from an unlit lighter. Reviews say that the sensors are ocassionally DOA and go bad. The manufacturer reportedly confirmed it. Sensors look very easy to replace though due to a quick connector.
Looks well worth it to me to mitigate risk and potentially automate the process.
