Hello Everyone

Recently the ignition switch on the Mirage shorted out and melted part of the console. Yes the breaker did pop but not soon enough evidently. Does anyone have an idea of where I may be able to get a new console? It only melted where the switches are but it warped so the whole dash console doesn't fit.

Thanks

I think you are saying this was on a sugar sands and not your Scarab, right?

Yes this was on the Mirage and not my Scarab. The Mirage is a 2007 so there is no warranty hopes.

we had somebody who custom built their dash to fit their gps unit on it. I couldn't find the link but it was a seemed surprisingly easy to do and looked very good,

Ouch. Think you are likely screwed finding one unless you come across one being parted out. I keep a eye open for parts as I have a 03 Mirage and there sure doesn't look like much is out there. Custom or repair is most likely your only option. Sorry I couldn't be any help

If you don't find a used one, look in your area for a custom plastic fabricator. They would be able to remake it but would probably cost a few hundred bucks.
