I hope you guys enjoyed the holiday, I was busy with this project. I don’t want to mess it up by beating the lights out of it. I can’t get the berrings out any tips and tricks you guys might know of. Thanks 1st time doing this.

@Johnq36 how many hours did you have on those bearings? Had you ever serviced them ?

I’m in ny so not many, I really don’t know. I bought the boat 6 years ago never did them so I figure it was time I did have water in my cone.
 
Did you use a press to remove the bearings?

A press is the best way to remove and install the bearings.

I haven’t removed them yet I think I’m going to buy a press tomorrow
 
For the sake of posterity, I have a shop press (bought for this purpose), and anyone who manages to make their way to Santa Fe, NM is welcome to use it.
 
Update, everything is back in the boat she sounds so much better. Thank you guys for your help
