Latest Mod...<adding cupholders>

I was planing on doing the same mod this spring. Looks good. What size hole saw did you use?

That turned out great! More room for beer!

@RampRage I used an adjustable one from harbor freight, set at 3 3/4". Went with the OEM cupholders, which were cheaper than most generic ones I found. Did have to get a right angle drill for the back one...

One mod I saw was to cut out the bottom of one of the cup holders and install a plastic trash bag. One you've got kids with snacks and stuff this becomes a very handy garbage disposal.

That's an awesome idea!!!! :winkingthumbsup"

The mod looks great and the garbage bag idea is great. You should post that in member tips and it should win a prize.

Do you silicone those in or just snug fit??

I did this on my 210. Pretty easy and handy to have. Recommend taping a trash bag underneath when drilling, it will make cleanup, easier.

It's an idea of a member on the other site. If you go to the bottom of my mod list you may find the link.

@ratchetdu Excellent tip! I've moved this thread to the member tips section and am adding it to the FAQ!

I like the garbage bag idea too!

I've heard there are 2 different cup holder sizes, is that correct?

@jimrobeson- No silicon, just a snug fit... I will need to plug the bottom though to avoid getting on all the stuff stashed below in the closet.
@Julian- I can't say about 2 different size cupholders? I just went to Yamaha parts diagram and picked those out based on my model. There could be another size for different models... I know I bought another generic one from bass pro/Overton's and it was too small...

Did this last summer! Best thing so far I've done to my boat.

And as mentioned, 2 more beverage places...

Yes on the cup holders. I came across them at West Marine one day. There is a size larger than what comes in our boats. West Marine is the only place I've seen them though.

Great Mod @ratchetdu

I would love to do that on the swim platform however I don't want to mess up the hydroturf while doing it.

I was thinking about the hydroturf as well. Does it screw it up?
pre-cut with knife?

I guess if it does screw up the hydroturf, the rim of the cupholder would hide it. Although I guess you may want to sink it into the hydroturf as well, in which case a knife may give a cleaner cut
