2nd week in a row I've tried to install my stereo system and failed because I didn't plan something well enough, or simply forgot something (boat stays at the camper, an hour away).

So. The stock Jensen HU only has one low level amp output, and I'm not a fan of splitting the signal (which I assume is already absolute crap because Jensen), so I ordered a new Kenwood unit. Well, much like everything else Yamaha has done so well on these FSH's, the hole for the radio was cut out by a blind man. After a case of beer. With a butter knife. And both hands tied behind his back.

Back to the Jensen. I haven't measured, but I just assume it's probably putting out less than .5v on the pre-outs, and I need to supply 2 amps. So, I was going to get a splitter and 2 line drivers (or just one LD and split afterwards, haven't found the specs yet) - looking at these-

Any experience or better suggestions? I'd get a piece of starboard and cut a DIN sized hole myself to install the radio, I just don't trust my cutting skills that much and can't seem to find a pre-cut piece.

Many amps will have their own outputs, so you can string one amp to the next. My wetsounds amp I just installed had outputs.

Yeah, but I've got bobo cheap amps, lol. Snagged them cheap Kenwoods that somehow managed like 5 pages on here. I figure I better get some good input voltage to them if they are gonna do anything.

I don't know about those line drivers.
I ended up splitting my RCA outputs from HU to 2 clarion xc1410s, and it worked well.
Actually, I had a half hour chitchat with a super nice installer dude at a best buy - I wanted a line something /hi-quality splitters /and what not, thinking along the same lines as you. He talked me out of it. He was funny - he sent me home with a bunch of shit and told me to try it out and bring it back. Which I did. All of it.

Now, that I think about it - those XC1410s are small and similarly spec-ed to that Kenwood special you guys are drooling over but those specs don't mean anything. So IDK, better ask somebody smart around here.

I know for a fact that the radio openings are chewed out by beavers. Hope this helps.

The PAC unit would work if you just want to increase the line voltage before splitting it to multiple inputs.
The Kicker ZXMRLC dual-zone line-driver/level-controller provides an increase in line voltage while providing dual zone controls, whether that is used as a fader, or transom to in-boat zone control, or tower to in-boat zone control.
