Its here! My new 2019 242X arrived! We went last weekend to pick it up! While I haven't had it on the water yet for some good pictures these will have to do for now! We were going to take it out Sunday but got to the lake and found out the ramps were closed due to high water. ugh! What a let down but now memorial weekend at Table Rock will be even more exciting than it already was going to be.

I have to say I didn't realize how much bigger this boat is over my old 2012 boat. Filling it up with fuel the other day the pump nozzle was above my head! I also got a lot of time on Sunday to put the racks on, install the mirror and just play with everything while crawling around through the boat. I did find that this boat feels like there is a lot more room in it than the old boat. Only disappointment so far is the wetsounds sub and soundbar really aren't performing very well at all. I have played with all the setting on the headunit but it doesn't compare to my wetsounds with built-in amp and box in the old boat. That thing will rattle the boat. I am thinking its just under powered so eventually we will rewire the soundbar and sub with their own amps.

Yeah I will when I get some good pictures. Nothing signature worthy yet!

I was also disappointed with the sound until someone pointed out that you modify your amp settings with the Fusion iPhone app. Just connect it to you boat and then go into the settings for Zone 1 which is your sub. Change the Passover filter frequency to something higher like 120Hz and bump up the zone 2 volume and the system will sound way better.

Thanks! I will give that a shot! I played with all the zone settings on the headunit itself and definitely got it better but found I had to set fade to the front to get the sub to actually thump. I'll try this when it stops raining! Lol

Nice, I'm jealous! Congratulations.

So nice! I noticed you are towing with a new Ford Expedition? I am hoping to be using the exact same setup in the very near future. Unfortunately my Expedition Max is only a 2wd. Is yours a 2wd or 4wd? How does it do on the highway towing the 242 X? Also how was it pulling the X out at the launch?
I have a 4wd Dually but I would prefer to use the Expedition to tow if it will handle the job.
Thanks and congratulations!

We tow our X with a 2006 F-150 and it has no problems pulling the boat on the road and at the ramp. It is only 2wd also.

The expedition tows it like a dream. This boat seems to shove us around under high cross winds a little more than the other boat did but plenty of power. We do put it in auto 4x4 when pulling out on a slick ramp just to minimize any issues from happening due to a slick steep ramp. The wife backs the boat in and pulls out without any issues, manual or using the backup assist.

Thanks for this post. I did the same on the sub filter and it did help quite a bit. I’m by no means an audio guru, but I could still see a 2nd sub or more power for it on the wishlist someday. I also have zone 1 and zone 2 linked evenly. That seems to be working very well, as well.

Congrats!!!

Nice! Congrats! I think they moved the gas intake though, which makes it higher for you to reach. I came to that conclusion after comparing pics. I may be wrong though.

So I played with the settings in the app which I found you can reach via the head unit on the swim deck. I had already set these settings. Maybe its my tastes but the bass just seems very light for the sub. I will definitely be adding two amps. One for the soundbar and the other for the sub. I wonder if the 2019's have any RCA jacks in the back of the head unit? I think I read somewhere that you have to tap in to the wiring harness. Can anyone confirm?

I think they sell an aftermarket wiring harness that just plugs in.
