New 19 AR195. This was in the cooler after I got home. Dealer says it's for them for servicing?

It is for winterizing. It takes the place of the transponder in the bottom of your boat.

OK, since the boat is brand new, there isn't any winterizing done, but what do I do for next year? I've never seen anybody mention this piece. Just the blow out the water, maybe the RV coolant, change the oil etc.

I've never even seen this thing mentioned, What do I do with it?

OK thanks. The 19 AR195 owners manual doesn't have anything at all related to this. Or *any* winterizing at all. That's why I was confused.

I did the same exact thing.. I came onto this forum asking what it was used for when I discovered it in my boat bag a couple years ago... I still like my use for it the best58AAEFE8-DAF1-4606-8C87-988717BDB5BF.gif

The only use I've heard that this might have is if you need to replace the transponder (send it in) and need to fill the hole in the meantime (you insert the blank). It is one of those things that goes in my non-critical boat supplies box in the garage and will likely never ever see the light of day!

I haven't yet crawled under the boat since it's 25* here. Where is this transponder located?

It’s in the bilge under the swim platform clean out plug tray. Located on the starboard side.
