@bthessel
glad to have you on board, is this your first boat ?

update your profile with your location so it will show on your posts and it will automatically put you on the map, you may have other member close by,

a couple things to start with,
check here for easy DIY fixes and maintenance https://jetboaters.net/threads/faq-...-content-check-here-for-your-answer-first.81/

MR1 engines have a history of the #3 spark plug rusting and getting frozen in and could break off if you're not careful taking them out, it's not difficult to change them just be careful of your angle and amount of torque you're using and use plenty anti seize when reinstalling.

Then plug and oil change are really easy to do, don't hesitate to do it yourself and be sure the pump some of the old grease out of the intermediate bearing tube since it's possible this might have never been maintained.

Check you scupper valve at the back of the boat, it is the plastic fitting on the transmom, many have cracked and since it's below the water line if it breaks you could have a big problem.

Do you clean out plugs go int and out easily? if not get them working good and use some kind of locking device cobra locks, Jet boat pilot locks to prevent them for unexpectedly releasing,

Welcome! @bthessel What Ohio lake/river do you plan on spending your time on?

Welcome Aboard!!!!

The boat will be stored and used on Lake Cumberland in KY. Last spring the wife and I bought a 3 bedroom cabin down there, it is not right on the lake but up in the hills 1 mile from a ramp. This will be our second boat, old boat is a 19ft Maxum that has been great but is just too small.

The AR looks to be in imaculate shape, Thrust Vector XL fins, scupper replaced with metal one, Perfect Pass and Ballast bags installed. The seller paid for a mechanic to compression test it and inspect it, change the spark plugs and oil. I took it for a water test last Sunday on the Ohio river before agreeing to buy it and it ran great.

Welcome Aboard, sounds like a great boat!
