Picked up a leftover 2023 Chebby (really an International with a Chebby cab) after my 2016 Denali HD decided to lunch the TCC in the 6L90 after 55K miles...

Should pull my Jet boat OK.. Yeah Yeah I gotta cut the extra threads off the ubolts and cut the thread lead in's but hey the stance is good after a 3" lift... prolly go +1 or +2 on the rubber at some point...

oh and ride is a fair bit better than the Denali via longer wheel base and Air ride cab mounts...

Real Dirtymax and a Real Allison 1750 trans all the rest of the running gear is Dana/Spicer and Meritor. They used the cab from a 15-19 2500 HD and I got the LT+ trim so the interior is the same as my Denali minus the leather seats (Katskins is fixing that), no dual zone AC and no sliding rear window or sunroof which are things i can live without in the FLA sun. 9200Lbs empty... factory derated to 14,001 GVW so i can pull a bigger trailer, GVCW 34,000

That’s a burly rig right there! Looks very clean!

What’s that tube for? It’s not the diff vent is it?

What is a TCC in your old truck? Whatever it is / was 55,000 miles seems pretty early for any kind of failure.

TCC = Torque Converter Clutch... you found one of the three things that could be better on the truck... the axle vent tubes were not extended up to the top of the frame, the horn is off a honda CT 70, and lastly they mounted the windshield washer rotated 90 degrees so the fill is on the side no the top....

I ordered a GM dual tone horn, I got a roll of 3/8 low pressure fuel line around here somewhere...

I picked up a Kubota Excavator and Ive got an ASV 40 Skidsteer on order so i needed something to pull them around with...

Getting ready to retire from Bit Twiddling

Thanks for the TCC definition…still seems very early for that item to fail. Why did it warrant a new decisively more burly truck? For the towing duties of the excavator and the skid steer?

yeah fixing the trans was a 5-10K operation on a 8 year old truck I paid 50K for and they gave me 40K for it on a trade and another almost 20K off the leftover 2023 that was upfitted and ready to go... Now I have 2 MD trucks... my Hotrod 1972 C5500 GMC Napco 4x4 with an 8V71 Detroit and a RTOO 9513... and my 2023 C4500 4x4... IMAG1605.jpgIMAG1480_small.jpgIMAG1910.jpgIMAG1908.jpg
