I purchased a new ‘22 AR250 and the wakebooster kit. When I got it home I couldn’t get the large pin far enough through the aft tie down to get the small T pin to go through the hole. I read some threads on here of guys sanding the large pin down to slide through the hole. I didn’t necessarily want to do all that when you can easily adjust the U bolt down so it fits correctly. There is a cup holder on the port and starboard side of the aft that gives you access to the top side of the tie down.
I used 2 flat head screw drivers to lightly pry up on the silver beauty ring of the cup holder and break the silicone loose. Then used one of the flat head screw drivers to rotate the beauty ring counter clockwise to unlock it. Then I pulled the ring off exposing the 3 Phillips head screws that hold the cup holder in. Once you unscrew them pry up on the cup holder breaking the silicone seal and disconnect the drain hose. Once this is done the 2 nuts that hold the U bolt up are right there. Loosen them up to drop the U bolt down a touch and then tighten the bottom nuts outside the boat snug against the boat and then retighten the nuts inside the boat. Then put your cup holder back together and boom it’s fixed. Takes about 5-6 mins each side.

Great write up!

Some people have only had to just tighten the nuts on the outside to get it to fit.

That would’ve been a heck of a lot easier. Lol. But as you can see in the photo of the tie down, no threads were even showing, so it was sucked up way too far. I should’ve added photos of the tie downs after I was done. I’ll get some tomorrow in the light and you can see 2-3 threads showing on bottom. Even at that the pin slides in a bit tight but does fully slide in.

Nice work! One more quick mod to add to the list.
