740 lbs weight? Sounds like it could get tossed around pretty good.

I like the concept, but for that price point I just don't see it going well for what it offers.

I think it would make a great piece to back of someones Yahct lol. This isn't for us or everyday people. Not much different than Tesla, started with higher prices.

Exactly--if it's featured in Robb Report, it's not meant for peasants like me.

It makes absolutely zero sense to do this as an outboard, when that electric could have been smaller than our waverunner motors. What a waste of space. And who was the genius that put the throttle in front of the screen?

I wanted to like it, as the colors, chrome and seating looks top notch, but the layout it totally stupid.

But then we see the big boys from Nautique and Mastercraft playing with Electric and Diesel configurations in their big tow boats. They have it figured out.

This boat will have a great purpose, as a tender to a large yacht, or on a waterway with serious restrictions on gas use for sure. Or the occasional boater that suffers from an improperly cared for gas engine. It happens so often that folks leave their boats for long periods, only to come back to low batteries or stale fuel.

There is a fit, it's just a poor implementation in my eyes. Other than for the same reason that offshore boats use Outboards for ease of service and repowering.

Even as a tender it is questionable....I guess the massive ones have major electrical generation capabilities???

I agree with the outboard comments! What a massive waste of space....they should be able to make it disappear like a Yamaha stern. Probably just cobbling parts from available vendors together....

I agree 100%. Why not make it an electric inboard? This would open up the backup a bunch as the engine would be low in the hull. And what is with the big a$$ bow? Moving the helm forward would open up even more cockpit space.

This is the biggest reason why I call this boat a tender boat. That loading and unloading platform and walk out stern is reminiscent of a tender. Designed to haul two couples up front and keep the "pilot" isolated with a deck hand.

Okay, that would explain the large bow area.

Instead of wrap around seating, I think a step from the bow would be even better.

Those are the future of boating! Both electric and hydrofoil. I am sure most major boat manufacturers are looking at both technologies seriously. I have also seen research on trapping air bubbles under the hull at speed, this is to reduce drag and provide a more fuel efficient, faster boat.
