Has anybody made this run in a Jet boat?

I was curious about two things:

First are there lots of weeds?
Second, they say you are supposed to keep the engine on in the locks, that seems difficult without a true neutral.

Anybody?

I wouldn't keep the engines on in the lock....too much debris floating around in the locks that I've been through!

That is a trip on my boating bucket list, maybe in a year or two or three I will get it done. Hope you find answers to your questions and are able to go on the trip.

Been through there on a 75 yacht. The main channel is pretty clean due to the traffic. As for the locks I would shut them down just to keep your position due to the forward creep.
