Hello Everyone,

My wife and i purchased our yamaha in may 2016, found this forum shortly thereafter. Have gleaned a lot of useful info from u folks. I did a few early post as we were getting used to our new boat. I guess i put the cart before the horse and did not introduce myself before i posted. Oops sorry. We are having a lot of fun adding to the boat.

Belated welcome!

:Welcome:

glad to have you on board, be sure to look at the FAQ tab at the top of the page,

be careful of you scupper valve and changing the #3 spark plug (it can get rusted/seized and easily snap off).

Thanks all...the no.# 3 spark plug rusting and snapping off sounds alot like the glow plugs on my 06 duramax.

Welcome @zipper! Congrats on the boat, I hope your first summer with her was awesome!

Welcome ....we love our 230 series!:Welcome:

230 s are great boats. MR1s are proven reliable

I love our 230, the mr-1 engines have performed very well. The boat's twin jets allow me to practically turn on a dime while backing into my slip.
