On the Hunt!

@JC6275 It's is. I'll get a better pic up. I also have the original sales brochure from 1965 and 100+ pictures of sea trials of this hull design in Lake Havasu as well as production floor pictures. It's got great history!

@jdonalds , we had to good fortune of renting a POS SeaRay 21' I/O. From the water, the swim deck was WAY up in the air, the I/O still stuck out WAY past the swim deck and the engine compartment ate up the entire cockpit. Even my wife, who knows nothing of boats questioned all of this. So the way I see it is the $250 on the rental was money well spent!

:Welcome: @JetPowered

I can vouch for the safety aspect as I have 2 daughters (8 & 10). The stern area is so much fun for them but soooo safe.

These are great boats and I am sure you will love it. Good luck. Good prices will be out soon.

Welcome! You certainly came to the right place to learn about the jet boats. Glad to have you here and can't wait to follow the restoration efforts. Like mods on steroids...

Welcome to a great forum and enjoy the boat buying experience. You are sure to see some used Yami's coming up for sale and I am sure you will like what you see. If you haven't been out in one of the jets, definitely go for a ride and it wouldn't hurt to take the Mrs'. She will want one after seeing the layout and form/function. Propless and 3 kids will also be a no brainer.

We spent yesterday on a local lake with six of us and as always, I walked away thinking how this boat was the perfect choice.

Welcome aboard @JetPowered. As many have said, this is a great forum with great people. Best of luck in your hunt for a boat! To me, the hunt is a big part of the fun of owning a boat. The "Californian" looks like a really cool boat for its day and look forward to seeing some picks of yours restored. If you happen to be up my way, north of Dallas, let me know and would be more than happy to give you a test drive/ride in my boat.

I just bought my boat in June. No regrets. I have 3 kids 14, 12, and 10. They are loving it and I love not having a prop to worry about. Good luck with your hunt!

Welcome! You should buy @maboat 's boat. He will sell it super cheap! Might even get him to deliver it to you :D

Well, the wait is over! Yesterday, we bought a 2008 232 Limited from a local seller with 80 hours on it. Hopefully the weather is going to hold tomorrow and we get to take the family out to Lake LBJ and meet some friends. Pictures coming soon!

Awesome! Congratulations. Let the fun begin.

She looks very happy!

Nope that's Chris' boat now! It was my dad's for six great years... Now it is gonna make new memories for another family. I am pretty sure his daughter is mildly excited about it!!

Congratulations from another 232 Limited owner!!!

Congratulations!!! Your daughters expression is priceless. Worth the cost of the boat.
