Back to Egmont Key yesterdays with some friends. Water was 82 and crystal clear. Sky was blue and close to 90. My skin is a new shade of fire truck red. Adding a tubing short.
Since your in the "Dirty South" now, make a trip down to Fort Desoto and go to Egmont Key. My photos above were in about 2ft of water, and tubing, I could count the start fish in 8ft of water.
Drove with the trailer four hours+ each way to get there, but totally worth it. Went up to Saint johns river through Lake George to this gem known as silver Glen Springs. Absolutely gorgeous water, incredible snorkeling.
Had our maiden voltage for 2023 yesterday. Probably the nicest May day since we started boating four years ago - upper 70’s and winds were pretty light. Went for a bite to Fox River Brewing and then relaxed at the Sand Pit for a few hours. Replaced the tan bimini with an OEM charcoal colored version - I was hoping it would be closer to black but I think it look OK.
Bioluminescence is in bloom.
It seems like it is early this year.
This picture was taken Friday night looking aft while traveling about 25mph.
We were on our way home after dinner with friends. I told my wife to look aft. This is her picture.
I have one of the few, I’d not only blue and white SX195 in the area. Port aft Bimini pole has a blue and white jet boaters.net flag and the starboard has an American flag. A TON of skis out there, I will say I saw you
Finally got the boat in the water for the first time this season. The “good” ramp was closed, so had to go to the backup option. $25 fee there which is absurd. Tide was out the furthest I’ve ever seen on the river, by the time I got the boat to float my spare tire was pushing through mud. Was really happy the trailer rolled right up after.
Ended up being a great day, the dog is still snoozing, and the boat ran great. Will move it to the lift at the shore in a couple weeks.
