Yup and not intentionally, had to call some friends to help get me floating again, me and my 150 lb son were not getting it off that spot

Been there, done that!
Glad you managed to get it afloat.
One time with an older boat, it must have been the same spot, LOL - looks the same - I ended up helping myself with a "water parachute".

the picture of course was going to be mandatory but what were the details, all that water looks pretty shallow,

Same happened to me a few years back. I was having such a good time I didn't notice the tide going out. It took 13 people to push me about 8 yards to deeper water. I gladly handed out a half a case of beer as a thanks.

Its the lower part of the Westfield river in Agawam Mass. Usually this time of the year water is much higher but due to the non existent snow pack we are shallow for this time of year.
I came around the corner and saw those things growing out of the water and pulled the sticks back but it was too late. Its a sandy bottom with some loose small rocks. Im sure theres some scratches but I didnt really inspect it. If I had bounced hard right I would have missed it but I would have ended up getting stuck fishing on the way back.

Sorry for your luck, but it is a pretty cool picture!

Damn! I stumbled on this by accident (hence the alt post)........hope she turns out ok for ya.......ballsy river run !!!

This is a perfect indication of the good and bad of the exceptionally shallow draft of these boats while on plain. I have been up this river before on plain many times and never had an issue, its coming back down using the trolling motor when I have a problem

You are my hero, Evil Sports. Got any more pictures?

:DRumor has it @Evil Sports stuffed a bunch of bats and softballs under the boat and pushed it out with 2 fingers while drinking a Dos Equis. :D

He does look like the type of guy that can do that sort of thing.

Yikes but cool photo! I wonder what would have happened if this was one of the new 19' boots with the rudder on the ride plate since it protrudes below the hull unlike the 24' boats where the rudder is inline with the keel/hull.

Oh, man! Hope the damage is not too extensive.

Your comment about pro/con of the exceptionally shallow draft of these boats reminded me of that guy that managed to get his boat about 1/2 mile into super shallow flats while on plane and got stuck there. For weeks, I believe. Epic YJB thread on that. Believe it was approx Sept 2009, but my memory might be off.
