I am looking to build a cup holder/phone holder that fits in the tray on the passenger side on top of the head compartment. Has anyone built something like this? I an going to build it out of starboard. With a bottom piece that fits in the bottom then some risers. The top piece will have 2 holes that would fit large insulated cups and two slots you could do your phone into. I need to get to the boat to get some measurement.

I like the idea. That tray area turns into lost space. It is a great location for a phone but it ends up cooking in the sun so we only use it at anchor when we can throw a towel over the window for shade. Are you thinking it will be sturdy enough for phone and drinks while underway or just at anchor? Are you thinking a perm install or removable?

How about making a 2-tiered thingy, cup holders on either side and a little insulated compartment in the middle for the phones? Make it white to have a better heat effect...

Then, to get fancy, add a charging port in the phone compartment.

At one point @JetBoatPilot made a holder for that spot...but don't see it on his site now.

I like your idea.....please post some pics and info when you complete it!

Yeah, I spotted that a while back on one of Jet Boat Pilot's boats. I inquired to @JetBoatPilot and Will said it was a prototype that was in the process of being retooled (or something of that nature). I've never actually seen it listed on their website. If Jet Boat Pilot ever put it for sale, I would buy one.

I reached out to them yesterday and they stated it never really panned out.

I was thinking it could be removable. Possibly cover the bottom piece with hook and loop. Also the bottom would have two piece for stability. One at the base and one flush with the top edge.
