We have a Yamaha SX 230. Both engines were running fine. We beached for a bit then went to start the engines and only the starboard side engine would start. When you turn the ignition key to the "on" position, it doesn't even make the beep noise like the starboard ignition. Any suggestions?

glad to have you on board!

Update your profile with your location so we know where you're at,

How long have you owned your boat?

as Julian mentioned, the checklist is a great place to start,

also be sure when you're turning the key the entire assembly isn't rotating with the key, I had that problem (the locknut on the dash split) and I had to "hold" the switch while I turned the key only to the start position,
