I finally got around to walking around the Rollingview Marina slips today and left a laminated Jetboaters.net business cards for all the Yamaha's I came across (5). I met one of the owners....a very lucky guy who's FIL works at the plant in Venore TN! We chatted for a little bit. The day before I met another family who just bought a used 2007 SX210.

If any of you find your way here...welcome.

Those of you who boat at large marina's with other Yamaha owners....feel free to print our the business cards linked above and pass them around! We need to find the rest of our bretheren!

Great idea with the cards @Julian. I don't see many Yamaha's where I boat. Maybe 1 or 2 a season but I will keep a few cards handy as I quite often have people stop me and ask about the boat.

@Julian Is your boat safe? I was going to Falls Lake today; ar the most/all the bot ramps flooded?

The Creedmoor Rd ramps had water up to the pavement last week but useable. Not sure where it is at now. Here is a pic from 10/9. I meant to add this sooner.

I pass the Barton Creek ramps on the way to the marina, and they were busy....so useable.

Marina folks said the Corps told them the level wouldn't come down for a week as they are holding a much water as possible to prevent more down stream flooding. What was interesting is that the marina said this wasn't the highest the lake has gone by far (like 3-4 feet less than their highest).....so I wonder why they haven't held more water.....

The last time we flooded like this was when floyd came through.... the arm core of engineers opened the gates to falls lake because they were afraid the water level would rise so much so fast it would over flow the an which is never a good thing... the result was massive devistation down stream much like we r seeing now. The main difference between then and now, the bulk of the rain fell on the state below the damn... they calculated the amount of rain we had from the storm that would be funnel into falls was within the capicity of the damn.... I don't really know that but I did stay at a holiday Inn express last night...
