Wife and I saw Seranation, Common Kings, Michael Franti, and Sublime last night. Not sure how Sublime was the headline act because Michael Franti absolutely killed it! Unbelievable show. I loved his shirt, "Work Hard & be Nice to People"

Down on the Farm, the blueberry crop is pretty good this year. We broke our record for #'s picked in a day, today in the PYO patch over the last 22 years being open. 10 varieties and 8 for picking now. The other 2 soon. Pictures from customers pickins today.

I posted the above on Saturday. Our previous record for a single day's pickings was 270#'s. That was broken on Saturday with 285#'s picked. Well we smashed that new record on Sunday with a total of 360#'s picked. The weather was beautiful and the people came out. Cars filled up our parking area and overflowed into the field I had just finished haying on Saturday. Hard work does pay off. Day off today...shaping up to be a Yamaha Day at the beach.

Did this yesterday. Not really a "what you see", but more of a "what they saw".

Grandfather had a new roof put on, and the roofers pulled the old OTA antenna off and left it in the yard. So I got to drive the bucket truck and remove 30yrs of old satellite dishes, antenna, and cabling off the side of the house. Put new wood blocking at the peak, remounted a single OTA antenna, and dressed all the wires down the wall and into the basement. Will be going back next weekend to rewire all the coax in the house and bring it up to RG6 with good compression fittings. They've already got 34 channels over the air, hoping to get a few more with the new cabling.

Wife snapped a picture of the toddler playing Quality Control :D :D

Had the opportunity to spend the weekend at Put-In Bay on South Bass Island, Ohio. WOW, I was completely surprised, I have never heard much about the area. What a great island, very much a Key West feel with great people and atmosphere. Didn't bring the boat, but certainly looking into a trip with the boat.

Do you ship? I'd love to get some. Let me know.

At the beach now, glassy waters, making our own apparent wind at speed. Had lunch, now skipping stones from the float. Love the ease of this boat and the beach on a Monday.

A little bit of information on Lake Champlain and some of her wrecks. In the early 80's I was big into Nautical Archeology. I surveyed underwater wrecks, on a joint project for the states of Vermont and New York, of warships from "The War of 1812", the battle occured in 1814, and is known as The Battle of Plattsburgh in NY. The 3 boats I worked on were the brig USS "Eagle", a captured British ship the HMS "Linnet" and a smaller single mast square rig "row galley" powered by oarsmen with muskets. Artillary on that boat was a 12 pounder and a carronade cannon, firing iron grapeshot, used to manuvre among the boats during the battle and take out rigging and men with a closeup blast of the carronade. That was pretty cool stuff for a 21 yo "kid". Days were long, 6 hour bottom time each day in fairly shallow water. This is the book written about that survey and battle. 20190806_153216.jpg There is a link to a chapter describing the battle below. I have also been in the General Butler, a commercial schooner, right after it was discovered off the breakwater in Burlington as well as several others. Which brings me to this recent FB post from the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum and this ship they built a few years back. Pretty awesome to have her sailing on the lake.

I was lucky to be diving in the 80's, a lot less boat traffic in Burlington Harbor allowed me to find my "treasure" other peoples trash. Not talking Mel Fisher pirate treasure here. Can't show it all.

For those of you who like early U.S Naval history/battles, this is good stuff...starts on page 66.

So, shorts weather year round when this Wisconsin boy stops by to visit, nice! ?

Kidding aside, what's "winter" for you down there? I'm in shorts for work to 35*, and depending on how windy it'll be, MAY go another 2-3 degrees lower.

I remember going boogie boarding with some buddies when we were in Orlando, it was ~60* and we passed a lady with a goose down jacket on, walking her dog in a jacket/sweater thingy, and she looked at us 3 shirtless dudes in shorts, and you could tell she was thinking there was an invasion of cold-blooded aliens taking place in front of her! LMAO

LOL...I've been here for 30 years. Your blood DOES thin out. It does get cold here. I have to laugh. I own a goose down jacket. I wear it a lot in the cooler month. Everything is relative. January and February are the coldest months here. I stay as warm s I can and try not to get sick. Funny, My son wore short ALL thru school including high school. He refused to wear pants (so funny). I'm still laughing. Now he live in Atlanta.

If you're ever this way, please look me up. We'll show you St. Pete. You'll love it (all year round).

Horse camp. Quality time in the saddle, after hours of cleaning the stalls, lol.
Hot, and dusty, and so much better than staring at a screen.

None of these guys is from Saint Louis, all residents (physician) on a (rare) break from the hospital, lol.
Except for the 3 year old there, in the corner, she is a freeloader!

A different kind of Yamaha. This one is available from Costco at a “discounted price”.
I'll take 2, they're small...:)

I must be on the same mission, lol.
5 tours this weekend, each group different than the other.

The most tantalizing is the swim deck, feels like something in a much much larger boat

I was asked last weekend if my boat had reverse or not, got a chance to prosletyze about my boat and why I chose it. It helped that I could point to 3 other Yamaha's within view (including someone with @swatski s model), and when it was time to head out, I didn't have to walk my boat out to deeper water to fire it up - depth gauge gave me a 2.3 ft reading.
