Grabbed another rod today at Dick's, lol. I bought it for the reel.
Not that I need more rods, this one caught my eye - it's my middle daughter's name!

I gave it to her at home. She was beyond thrilled.
Didn't have the heart to tell her it was not a custom, lol. Will she hate me when she finds out? Oh, well ?

The kids are grown and we had not been together as a family for some time. So back in July I flew them all home for a weekend of hanging on the river. While we are setting up for wakeboarding, my son in law pulls out a box with a tiny life jacket and a sign.

Well, the ballast arrived yesterday. His 8 lbs won't add much to the wave but has certainly added to the joy of this family. I look forward to teaching him how to surf.

Any one on here mess with Sketchup? I have slowly been getting into wood working and my next big project is this built in desk for my office. Figured I'd lay it out on here and save myself some headaches.

Here is the north end of Lake Michigan looking south to Wisconsin. I’m pretty sure you can see door county out there.

Hate it when I dig into something, then wait 4 days to put it back together. I'm having a panic attack just thinking about hooking all this crap back up!!! New 400 amp motor controller for the golf cart. Need to get this baby some more speed!!View attachment 140887View attachment 140888View attachment 140889
So, how much speed did you gain? My EZGO RXV does 23 and the guy I bought it from offered to change the gears to take it into the 40+ mph range. I told him 23 was enough.

Double. I had a stock setup so I had a slow take off and top speed of around 12-13. Now I can change the torque for as much acceleration as I want and top speed is now 24-25 mph. My neighbor had the new gears put in. His is fast but makes an incredible whine when he drives by. You can hear that cart coming from a mile away!

well, well, my day is over, and it's finally starting to warm up!

had to buy a torch tonight to thaw out some hydraulic fittings, no dice for 3 of the 4 I had to deal with, and ran right up to the 16 hour DOT limit.

Sturgeon drinking season opens on Friday, hoping it warms up a touch, but we've got clothes for it if it stays around these single digits. At this point right now, 40* would be tank tops and flip flops weather!

I miss those days, but my body keeps telling me it's better that they're in the rear view mirror now.
My body tells me every time I get out of that loader that I'm no young gun anymore.
