A request for the members is to please make sure your signature is at, or preferably shorter than, the sidebar. See the image below for what the sidebar is. If you have issues adjusting your signature image, reach out to one of the [USERGROUP=4]@Moderating[/USERGROUP] team and we should be able to assist you.

Post with sidebar and signature.JPG

This makes scrolling less required....Thanks!

Tips....also, please don't put lists of mods vertically in your signature, separate them with commas, and make your images wide and not tall.

Here is an online sizing tool (thanks to @piney1 ):

Online Image Resizer - Crop, Resize & Compress Images, Photos and Pictures for FREE

In general, your signature image should not be any taller (vertical pixel height) than 400 pixels. You can find this information out in most image editing applications. On a PC, you right click the image and click on properties and this is what you will see on the details tab (this is my signature image....164 pixels high).

You mean like this?

Gotta get me a new pic with the new tow rig hooked up to the Dawg. I'll resize mine, have to figure out how to do that though. It will give me something to do tomorrow on the plane. :)

@Suchawittygal Most photo editors can crop pics easily (Office photo can do it, paint can etc).....yours isn't far off, but does have "blank" space top and bottom that could be trimmed like this:

suchawittygal.jpg

No rush, and we don't want to be too anal about it....just want to save some scrolling where we can.

Thanks @Julian, I'll edit it when I get to Dallas in a little while!

If it's OK ............ May I offer a suggestion ?

The issue @Julian is attempting get us all to do is to
RE-SIZE photos ..........
Not "crop." There is a BIG DIFFERENCE.
I use Adobe PhotoShop Elements (consumer version of Adobe PhotoShop) to "RE-SIZE" most every single one of my shots and cartoons ........ And the version (Version 2) I use successfully is maybe 12 years old now .... Does everything I need it to do.
This element (RE-SIZING) is something you might wish to look into, when investigating how to best address your personal situation with @Julian's request here, which makes a lot of sense.

If I can help further, please do ask. And oh yes ...... Many times, at least for me, it STILL is a matter of trial and error.
"Trial & Error" for me means this: A) I will RE-SIZE a photo. B) Save it in a specific file area.
C) Open the thread is wish to post in ......... or edit my signature ...........
D) And in the thread area, upload the picture/photo and then E) press FULL IMAGE icon next to the photo icon, and F) see then and there IF I "like" the image size.
G) If I feel it's still too large, I go back and re-size it further.

Open to help anyone if you wish. Just a PM works. Sincere Best Wishes to all, Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA

Here is an example of Cheryl's ORIGINAL photo (first) ...........
and then HER photo, both re-sized and cropped (tensy-weesy bit)
And the third shot is her photo RE-SIZED more and "SHARPENED" as well:

(And I sincerely hope Cheryl did not mind me using her photo as an example)

Resizing and cropping are sometimes required.....

Heck...I didn't even notice that my sig pic was too big (in pixels) til someone mentioned it to me - as I typically surf on my IPAD and it auto scales it down.....whoops!

Another gentle reminder.....
  1. Please watch the vertical size of your signature photos and crop/resize as required....if you need help....please ask....we are happy to assist!
  2. Please list your mods horizontally
    1. Like this, mod A, Mod B, Mod C. You can have multiple sections, but please not one on each line-unless you have few enough that your signature (as shown above) is shorter than the sidebar.
    2. Not
    3. In
    4. vertical
    5. lists
    6. like
    7. this
    8. as
    9. it
    10. makes
    11. your
    12. signature
    13. very
    14. very
    15. large
    16. in
    17. some
    18. cases
    19. :-)
Thanks!

How about writing posts in bright blue and a larger font? Haha ... seriously, thanks for the reminder.

Bump....there are a few folks out there with some photos that are taller than the side bar, and a few who have their mod lists one on top of the other rather than in a paragraph form.....

If you need help trimming a photo I'm happy to help....just reach out via a "Conversation" with me.

I need to get a better panoramic photo of my truck+boat since I upgraded. It's close, but I am nearly an offender of this rule :-(.

Your photo is fine...there are a few out there that are twice that height. Just trying to limit the unnecessary scrolling....

Now I'm curious as to how my signature is - so I am posting here so I can look at it. lol (If an admin thinks I need to do something to it, just let me know)

That is because I changed it 3 times after I saw I was in violation of US Penal Code 345  :winkingthumbsup"

Sorry about that....it is a delicate balance.....hate having to ping people individually when I see one that is huge....so I do it this way as a less confrontational hint/reminder.

Mine is bigger than yours is! :winkingthumbsup":muted:
