I took my daughters snow skiing on Feb 8. My oldest daughter wanted to snowboard so I joined her for the day. We've done it four other times and I'm very comfortable snowboarding. Of course the end of the day, the last run, at the bottom of the bunny hill, I was going to turn around and look for my daughter behind me, going 2 mph at the most I got close to the fence and was going to slow and couldn't turn. I decided I just fall down but was to close to the netting, was going to fall forward but ending up going backwards, end of the board was in the snow, the tip was caught up in the air in the net and I went backwards. I felt the stretch coming and then felt the outside bone in my ankle pop out for just a second, like your shoulder poping out of joint and going right back in. I thought "did I just break my ankle" but then I wasn't screaming in pain so I thought I just sprained really bad. I limped down the hill and to the car and we drove home the next day. I had the usually extreme brusinng on the bottom edge of foot and up to toes just as I've had playing basket ball many times. A month goes by the bruising is gone, no real swelling, can walk a straight line ok but still have medium pain if I twist my foot or move it the wrong way so I went to the doctor today and will go to the orthopedist tomorow. Broken Fibula, enjoy // I forgot this ones for you @Ronnie

BUMMER! Last time I skied...tore my medial collateral! Not the reason I haven't been back, but I still felt the occasional reminder for 10 years following that injury! And I was only 33 when I did that!

Damn that does look painful. I can't believe that you could even try and walk that one off
