Starboard mid cleat - Did you know?

More importantly.....how the hell did she get out of there???

@bgood188 How did you reattach the plate?
I was going to rivet but a tight squeeze for a good fit. I chose to use stainless screws. I brought the plate to hardware store to get a good fitting screw. I think it was sheet metal screws for fiberglass......I believe.

I cannot find the nuts to reattach one of my cleats, where can I find the correct size needed? 2004 AR230

Aggravating as can be but they are around in there somewhere. Check where the carpet and fiberglass meet. they wedge themselves there. They can go as far back as just before the engine compartment.

I did have to go get....go to a hardware store, not lowes or home depot. Bring the others with you to match up. Each stud should have a washer, nut and a locking like star washer (cant recall the correct term). Hardware store will have exact same nut, but anything will work. If you dont have either....then bring the cleat with you to match up threads.

Always put blue locktite when replacing, this way it will prevent reoccurance.

I would go with Red loctite - permanent.

What a good find on this secret hole for tightening the cleat

Looking at that gave me an idea not sure if it could work ,the rear cleat lets water in while surfing maybe a rubber hose clamped on with a plug in the end.

Wow! was looking to edit a stock photo and it looks like it comes with a piece to drain the water away

How do you get to the rear cleat to tighten on a 2007 ar230?
