Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Well another year has gone by since I posted on this. Ended up having to replace the port engine due to it overheating because of buildup in the water jackets. I have finished the upholstery, replaced the rotted wood in the deck from an improperly sealed table bracket, and installed new sound deadener on the inside of the engine hatch. I gave up on trying to get the blue gel coat to shin up so I painted it Navy blue.
After installing the port engine we were actually able to take it out on the water and ran it for around 3 hour, that sure was a good feeling after working on it for all these years. Working on compounding and waxing the top and bottom of the hull and a few other minor items and hopefully it will be finished.
Let’s see if I can remember all that I have replaced or repaired in the last 56 months during this project.
Replaced both engines, one from a used ski the other from SBT.
Rebuilt both pumps with new impellers and wear rings.
Replaced both intermediate shafts and bearing assemblies.
Scupper.
Bucket cables.
Blowers.
Battery switch.
Misc. exhaust pipes and seals.

Fuel gauge sending unit.
Bilge pump.
Installed a auxiliary bilge pump and float switch.

Repaired all the gauges because the faces were coming off.
Installed sound deadener on engine cover.
I‘m sure I have missed a few things but those are the bigger items.
Our friends dock was finally completed a few weeks ago so the boat is at its permanent home on the Caloosahatchee River. We have had it out a couple of times and other than an intermittent oil pressure light coming on from the SBT engine everything seems fine.
