A picture of how my favorite mod looks like. The magnet holds my cellphone, I much prefer this over the stock holder. Now I got to remove that holder and see what I can do with the space.

I extended a 12V lead from the house battery to a power distribution block in the head for easy access to power everything. I tied it into the house battery cutoff switch so nothing to drain the batteries when turned off.

Also put a porta pooper in the head.

Were you able to pick it up with just the 2 stands in the back and a floor jack in the front?

I used that 3 ton heavy duty floor jack with large wooden blocks on the keel. I bought this sick 3 ton stand also for the keel with blocks as well. It was easy.
Lowered the tongue to its lowest. Put the two stands under the back. Then lifted the keel . Piece-o-cake

If anyone needs to borrow them locally Feel free. I wont ship them but you can use for free20190706_194311.jpg

I covered the two stern stands with this great rubberized toolbox draw liner that i had rolls of. That way the wooden stand plates won't scratch.
Then i put this floor knee pad between the the keel blocks and the boat.

Reinstalled my ballasts after taking off the waterbed fitting and sealing it with 3m 4200, and a legit hose clamp. Then covered the clamp with thick flex seal tape so it doesn't poke anything. The PO complained that they leaked. Tested it tonight......not a single drop of water leaked. Water that's on top of the bag was from a rain storm the other day.

Been looking for another sealant/wax to go with on my boat. Being that I do detailing/paint correction/ceramic coating installation on the side I wanted to go with a silica based sealant. Going with a full on coating on this boat seems like a nightmare I'm not willing to get into. LOL! Most everything I use is from carpro and noticed a product called hydrofoam. Spray on with a foam cannon, wash with a was mitt, rinse off, and dry as normal. The beading/sheeting of this stuff is insane. I'm hyper OCD about my paint so I'm not terribly concerned about longevity as I'll do this every other wash on this boat.

@suke, nice job! We always like it when it doesn't leak.

Might want to watch or replace those hose clamps in the engine compartment. A couple of them are showing some rust. Ones on the right look like they are just starting; the one on the left may be further along.

@suke Just noticed your boat is green! Wife's favorite color. All this time I thought it was black. You sig does not do it justice.

Almost all of them are showing surface rust. It's on my to do list. I've only had this boat 7 months. Baby steps! During my first off season it took a bulk of it just to get the trailer road worthy/safe, then a bunch of other small stuff(new speedo, replace sound deadening in the engine bay, etc). By the time boating season hit I had run out of time for projects, and funds. Biggest hurdle is ordering all of them, and not really knowing the size.

Hmmm... What did I do... Well, my 5 yr old wanted to try skiing... So I knocked out his first tooth. I spun the boat around and he was standing in the shallows with my wife and neighbor, looked at me (with blood pouring down his chin and hands) and said "yep, I'm bleeding, I'm gonna sit the next one out". You do that big guy, love ya Luke.

Wait. You hit him with the stern? In the face? With the Jets on? Oh my!

How do you give a funny AND a heart for this post?! Lol He's gonna get ALL the chicks with a war story like that!

I hit the throttle, he got up for a sec then submarined head first. He said he didn't hit anything so we think it was the force of the water.

Aw, it was ready to come out anyway...

2020 Trailer(according to VIN). You would think, in the 21st century, that all the lights would be LED but NOOOOO. Taillights and bar are freaking bulbs....Really?!?! shorlandr must have purchased 10million of them back in 1995 and still using their stock. 3rd time in the water and poof, burned out bulb. So i installed LED replacements last nite. Snapped off both heads on the screws of the 3 light bar just trying to back the screws out. I swear they use the cheapest crap they can get their hands on when they build these trailers. Adding the trailer guides w/LED tops tonite.

Which light bar did you use? I did the 2 tail lights but not light bar yet. And yes surprising they don’t use LED. Especially on a trailer which gets submerged in water.
