Btw the rubber snakes are working to keep the Cardinals from pecking at my hull and crapping all over the trailer

This could possibly be one of the most important things you could ever demonstrate to us. Show a picture of your setup with the snakes!

I gotta tell ya, almost every time I go by the boat, it startles me for a quick second. Lmao

Well, my 2005 battery that came stock with the boat finally died. I moved it to the house battery when I put a second in the boat 3 years ago. Friday I noticed the tune wasn't pumping up and looked at the volt reader - it was at 8.4 volts. That after being on the trickle charger at the house for a few days.

They just don't make stuff to last!?

You ask my wife, not having birds crap all over the boat... you can't put a price on that for her! When I told her your idea, she was more enthusiastic about it than any other mod I've told her about LOL

I have a feeling I'll have the same reaction. We've got snakes all over the place, and they just skeeve me out. Order is placed!

Replaced control cables. A little learning curve, but managed to do it. Learned to take the rubber grommets off the new cables before pulling. Learned the big box home stores don't carry a 10/32 coupling nut to connect the cables together. And that the access holes to the transom area will make your arms look like you went several rounds with non-declawed cat. lol

@Scuba_ref
Broke down and replaced my 10 year old battery this spring. Nothing wrong with it but I only have one on the boat and didn't want to take the chance anymore. Pretty sure you can start a MR-1 motor with a couple 'D' size batteries if you had to.

@B0at1n please tell us about your accommodations when you have a chance. They look really nice! How many are in your group and if they allow pets.

This is a duplex with a slip for each unit.
Each unit holds 5 people.
Has 2 rooms, one with a queen with a twin bunk above and another with just a queen bed.

Patio looks out over the lake. In a cove that is 30 ft at the dock and 75 feet just past it.

If you don’t like climbing hills or lots of stairs, this may not be a good unit. It’s on a cliff so it’s straight down.

Also, on the property is a vineyard, kinda cool, but doesn’t really make a difference to me, I’m looking at the water, not the grapes...lol.

Here are some more pictures.

Beautiful! We would actually love be at the vineyard, especially if they do tours with tastings. Stairs and ramps are to be expected in the hill country! We're gonna have to look into doing a long weekend trip down there.

No tours or tasting of the vineyard, it’s a small vineyard. Here’s an aerial shot, the north building is the rental duplex, the south building I’m assuming is the owners resedents, but was empty while we are here. EDBDC7CB-53D6-4D1F-A7A2-B0B9A1CD06FC.jpeg

FYI, if you decide to go to starns island, careful around the rocks, I’m not sure what’s growing on them, but it will cut you all up. 7F74FB5E-2A8B-46D5-8F0C-8FD504DB8093.jpeg7E9E403B-A3BC-4F11-8195-194B19ABBDC7.jpeg46F5D062-0C37-4B94-AA59-7E2D923BF7B4.jpeg

Looks very much like slices from zebra or quagga mussel shells. Not fun. Hope none were too deep and they heal well and quickly.

That makes sense, I bet they are the zebra muscles I’m sure it won’t take but a couple days to heal

Finally finished installing all the jetboatpilot optional seadek pads. Man. Makes the boat look different! And got our decal on as well.

A much needed scrub

Same here three and out on the shit lights that came with trailer..got direct size replacements units at Autozone for $69 for both sides in LEDs. Like really , between the bow roller, lites and transom straps I would have paid more for a trailer that didn't have junk parts. You can include the jack stand on the list too. Ridiculous
