The powers that be must not want me to boat this year. I'm on day 22 of waiting for my oil filters to make it here via FedEx. This is the second order - first one FedEx lost. Temps in the PNW are hitting 80 this weekend....and its killing me! Next year I'll just hit the Yamaha dealer like I should have this time. Apparently I have angered FedEx as this is 4 out of my last 5 orders MIA.

That sucks, but I would not let that stop me from going out. Go out and enjoy. When the items arrive then take care of it.

You could always order from Yama or whoever and save what's coming in from FedEx for next year. 🤔

I would take the boat out anyways and plan on changing the oil at a later date. I won't hurt a thing to run last season's oil.

Like this idea. How was the install for these, any major modifications? Did you wire them to a new switch or current cabin lighting?
Just wired them to the cabin lighting since it’s simple and able to be dimmed

Do you not have a local motorcycle shop/dealer nearby? I have the MR-1's so mine are the 303 filters that I assume also fit the R-1 motorcycle engine and I'm sure others as well. It's a quick phone call away to make sure they have them on hand and stop by and get them.

Like the others have already said, it won't hurt to run it on the old oil till you can get the filters. Just make sure you have the correct amount in the engines. I change my oil every other year because we never put enough hours on it in one season to justify changing it every year.

Installed the Stoltz roller, added six LED 3/4” marker lights ( trailer came with 4 one of which was hidden by the spare tire), upgraded the stop/turn/tail to LED, and installed the Nilight off road lights as backup lights. Sorry about the picture quality and the tools sitting around.

Was it hard to get the old one out?
It was very easy, I pulled it out with needle nose pliers. The problem is that it’s not flush on the inside, so I’m going to cut it down to the nut with a dremel. I don’t want the locker to always have water in it.

I was curious about that. It looked like it would be too long on the inside and might not let water drain out properly. I’d love to see a picture of the inside of the locker from you or @HangOutdoors

I’ll take a pic tomorrow when I cut it off. It’s still not going to be 100% flush but it will allow most of the water to drain.

Unscrewed the rub rail and caulked along the seam and screw holes, hoping to lessen the water intrusion. It's running out of places to come in...
