Thrust Vector and Lateral Thruster Compatibility

Good grief people, can we all just agree that we have some great options of enhancing our boats’ rather poor stock handling and leave it at that? The pros & cons to each are well documented and everyone has to decide which system best meets their needs. No need for this pleasant & informative forum to devolve into a comment section of a facebook post.

So... what is the protocol for calling out salesmanship, which means smoke and mirrors to me? I mean some folks are putting their lives into these products and are fully drinking their own koolaid. No chance they don’t defend some comments that might hit too close to home. On the other hand it’s important to not argue about things and end up looking bad just for having gotten into it.

Do we owe it to the community to call out untruths?

Do we owe companies a chance to make it right before we make it public?

It always depends, but people should probably be more deliberate in their posts about products. It is everyone’s community and all of the businesses other than Mother Yamaha are very vested in the community.

Signed, not a Russian bot.

I’m all for an open discussion & honest feedback/reviews but I’d like to see things kept constructive, not just a tit for tat back and forth that doesn’t really provide anything useful and just creates more discord.

One of the real delights of this forum is sharing a hobby with so many creative and intelligent people, gaining knowledge, and seeing what other parts of the country are like where I haven’t had the privilege of visiting. We all have plenty of other sources of stress. We don’t need to muddy these waters with petty bickering.

This is all i see when i read this..

I applaud and thank both @Cobra Jet Steering LLC and @JetBoatPilot for making their points and not getting into a public battle - way more professional than the alternative!

As Will and Jeff have said, if you have an issue with a product it is always best to start with the vendor and use their support process first.

Forum Editorial Comment:
At times, the moderators here will attempt to steer a conversation away from a Ford/Chevy "religious" battle - but only in extreme circumstances will anything ever be deleted or removed (I don't recall that having happened yet - but we have had members on one or two occasions delete their own content when we've requested they do so - but it is their choice). Our goal has, and always will be, to keep this an open, collaborative place to discuss pretty much anything, and thus far its working well.

Thank you all for your excellent contributions! We have 10k members adding value here, and many many times more guests who come here to read your content!

Personally I'm a Yugo man 100%
