Does anyone have recommendations on replacing a rotted rubber electrical pigtail on a Shoreland'r trailer? For reference I have a 2020 AR240 and noticed the the outer rubber on the pigtail is cracked in numerous places exposing the underlying wires. The insulation on the wires inside the pigtail still looks ok, but I'm thinking it's time to replace the pigtail. Looked around a bit and I'm having trouble figuring out if there's a part number for this and if so how to replace it since the wires seem to terminate inside the trailer frame.

That's crazy - I need to check mine on my 2020 and see if it's suffering from the same fate.

I just replaced mine this weekend for the same reasons. I had been having a hard time finding the part number and it's impossible to reach Shorelandr. I got lucky by calling a local dealer and they happened to have the exact part sitting on the shelf. It was dusty and may have been sitting around for a while. Sorry to say I still don't have a part number for you. The good news is that it's very easy to replace. If you pull the cables out from the trailer about two feet or so, there are butt connectors and it's just a matter of plug and play. No splicing or soldering needed if you get the right part. I did add some electrical tape and shrink wrap just to be on the safe side.

Bottom line is to try and call a dealer. Good luck!

I noticed the same thing over the weekend on my 2021 for my FSH 210.

Not exactly the same but I found this:

Bargman 54006-043 Coiled 7 Way
FWIW, I bought this, but it's heavier gauge that the OEM one. It would probably work, but you'd need to drill out the hole in the trailer for it a bit. You'd also need to solder all the connections whereas the OEM one is plug and play.

I checked mine last night - a few small cracks where the wire is coming out of the trailer, otherwise OK. I sprayed it heavily with Fluid Film.

Appreciate the info on the options to address this and that others are seeing the same situation. I'm going to locate\contact a local Shoreland'r dealers 1st and see if they're able to locate the part. Failing that I'll go with Bargman 54006-043 Coiled 7 Way and wire it directly into the harness with heatshrink solder connections. There does seem to be plenty slack in the wires in the tongue so having to replace the pigtail a few times over the year with solder connections shouldn't be an issue.

Follow up, found the parts fiche for Shoreland'r and got the part number
5110703 TONGUE HARNESS 7 PRONG 5 WIRE FG 120 INCH
Hanna Trailer Supply where I ordered bearing\brake parts earlier this year was able to place a special order for the tongue harness.

To help others if you need to get part numbers for a Shoreland'r trailer
1. Goto Parts | ShoreLand'r© and enter the last 6 digits of your trailer vin in the search. It will come back with the model name
2. Goto https://www.shorelandr.com/parts/PartSmart.htm and enter the model name in the model search
3. The parts fiche will return for your trailer to locate part numbers
