So I am in need of a new or used 242 Limited S trailer. My current one is the factory Shorland'r and i have had no luck trying to find one. What has everyone replaced theirs with. What are some good trailers out there for these boats? I use in fresh water lakes only, so no need for ultra rust protection. Has anyone had luck buying a new Shoreland'r. Any help is appreciated, im trying to get one before the season kicks off.

What’s wrong with yours?

If I was going to buy a new boat trailer, I'd highly consider buying an aluminum one. Light, strong, no rust, and way better resale later.

I am also in need of a trailer, my factory Yamaha trailer is rusting out from salt water usage. Is aluminum better over anodized?

aluminum is better over everything.

Is is that much better over anodized? My boat's aluminum engine blocks and covers get routine corrosion that have to be cleaned off and treated, and that just from being in a salt water environment while NOT getting direct salt water exposure.

If I was going to replace my trailer it would be one of these two.. even though I’m in fresh water a replacement would more than likely be aluminum, galvanized at the least.
