Hello all,

Finished the install of the Seadek and took it out on the ICWW on a beautiful 73 degree day.
I really like the look since it matches the overall theme of the interior (gray and black). The non-slip characteristic is wonderful. I will be ordering the swim platform Seadek next. Not in the budget this year.

The big surprise was the reduction in noise. I did not expect that. It makes sense though. It is foam and it basically shutdown the echo chamber of the bare deck and bulwarks. I think the cabin of boat is kind of like a loud restaurant with bare floors and walls. This insulates the noise from below the boat, around the engine, and the reverberation. A nice and unexpected perk!

Looks like you also need either the JBP organizer or a hole saw and some cup holders! That was the first thing I noticed about this boat when I looked at it....no freakin' cup holders! When I asked Yamaha about it, they said the designer wanted to keep it clean and un-messed with....stupid designer in my opinion...who goes out on the water and doesn't drink something!

That Seadek looks AWESOME! That pattern goes really well with the lines of the boat!

Love that huge Garmin too!

Had not thought about that and it does make sense and a great perk. Thanks for posting the pics. I had not seen this pattern before and it looks great.
Enjoy.

Funny you should mention the cup holders and thanks for the compliment on the look of the Seadek too. I just purchased some cup holders to put in the console. I just need to either find a hole saw big enough or get creative with my jig. The irony being I have to install them....and Yamaha doesn't!

From my recent experience... definitely spend the money on the right size hole saw. I forget what your console looks like, but if it's a tight fit... this guy is worth its weight in gold (IMO) .

Then, round it out with a file or dremel tool w/ sanding bit. (That's another tool I'm not sure how I ever got along without.)

For pics of my project, see the link in the 2nd paragraph here: https://jetboaters.net/threads/my-first-30-days.15672/

Edit: actually, that google doc link has links to all the products I bought, if I remember right. Cup holders, hole saw, etc.

Thanks so much. I love it when everything comes together like that. Rare.
