Time flies...ya, 3 months ago. Up North, you know there is an old saying about the weather changing if you wait a minute. The snow melted a few minutes later.

Our brains have shifted away from boating to "Tweener Season" And trail rides will become the focus as the color comes out in the woods!

I'm filled with anticipation! Gotta do oil and lube changes on the General, and have a cab heater on order. And then it's off to full sled maintenance mode. It's so close I can taste it!

I am lucky enough to get to do my exhaust donuts on my Apex this year. At least it's not every 4000 miles like my previous Apex. Fired up the gas furnace in the shop, and she's toasty in there and the beer fridge is stocked. I'm ready!

Although it was 71 degrees yesterday in Maryland the weather will be dropping dramatically over the next several weeks. I went for one last ride and buttoned her up for the winter.

Had a 3 day weekend so we came out to Needles / Lake Havasu. No one was out here today and the water was like glass. Hit 54 mph.

The bay is half covered with ice this morning.

Got the oldest Yamaha in the fleet out today! She’s light and floats! (Ask me how I know). I probably learned that at an early age back in the early 80’s.

We have from 5.5” to 8” of ice on our bay. Marked some fish, but headed to the main lake tomorrow to find the walleyes!!

There will be a line across MN/WI that will go from rain to snow. Hopefully we are on the North side of that line.

Doing an ice test yesterday, I had 8" along the shore all the way out to my shore break. Then it dropped to 5" real fast. Fast enough that I decided to fish there, rather than venture further.

It was just too beautiful out not to enjoy some ice-therapy!!
