Had a great day on the water yesterday. But towards the end of the fun, our ar195 somehow managed to suck up the slack from our tow rope for the tube. It stalled out the engine and I noticed the rope getting sucked in.. Thankfully because of the cleanout plug and a pair of scissors we just happened to bring on the boat that day, I was able to cut out the rope and get the boat moving again. Saved us a tow and being stranded on the water in the evening.. thanks yamaha!

Add a utility knife and hook blades to you boat tool kit.

Yep, on my list..

We did the same thing the 2nd time out on our 195s. Sucked almost the entire tube rope up just before dark. It took me in the water under the boat with a knife and my wife up top pulling out the pieces. We had to finish up using the flashlight on a phone. Now I’m always watching the for the rope!
